Professional Experience
Attorney Paula Jones is a Charleston native and 1973 graduate of Wando High School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Furman University in 1980, and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1986 where she served on the editorial staff of the school’s flagship publication, the South Carolina Law Review. Mrs. Jones also holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Wake Forest University (1991) and, in addition to being a licensed attorney in South Carolina (1994) and North Carolina (1995), she is also a licensed South Carolina mental health counselor (LPC-I). She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) as of 2017.
Mrs. Jones brings her unique educational background and skills to the practice of family law as well to the art of family court mediation. She is a South Carolina Certified Family Court Mediator and, in addition to her work at Micheal Togwo Law Firm – Attorneys at Law, continues to work along side Helen E. Wheeler, M.Ed., LPC, developing and teaching programs aimed at enhancing the successful collaboration of the legal and mental health professions. She is experienced in working with clients undergoing high conflict separation and divorce and continues to use her dual background to bring a uniquely qualified approach to the practice of family law and family court mediation.
